FCC (Federal Communications Commission)
The government agency responsible for regulating telecommunications in the United States.

Form Factor
The physical style of the phone. Some examples of form factors are block, flip and folder.
• Block/ Candy bar- The phone is a solid bar with no moving parts.
• Flip- This is similar to block but has a thin piece of plastic that flips open. When closed this plastic is directly on top of the keypad.
• Folder/ Clamshell- The phone consists of 2 halves and folds or swivels open or closed.
Frequency
The rate at which a wave alternates. Frequencies are measured in Hertz.

Fringe Area
The outermost range of a wireless network where signals are generally weaker.
